The first piece is a lament, written by Gary, for Llywelyn ap Iorwerth (Llywelyn the Great). The story goes that he erroneously killed his faithful hound, Gelert believing it to have savaged his infant son, and quickly discovering that it had in fact killed the wolf who was attacking the child.
This is followed by two lively polkas with which we generally finish our stage set, and to which Emma performs a storming clog routine!
