PENTRE LLANFIHANGEL
Mae pentre Llanfihangel heb ddim dŵr,
Y fferm a'r siop a'r ysgol heb ddim dŵr,
Os disgyn plant y pentre
l'r baw ar amser chwarae
Rhaid aros nes mynd adre cyn cael dŵr
I olchi'r dWr o'u peneglinie
'Does dim dŵr.
Rhaid i bobol tre fawr Lerpwl gael eu dŵr,
Pe taent heb, mi fydde trwbwl, heb ddim dŵr,
Rhaid boddi pentre Llanwddyn
Deg fferm a deunaw tyddyn
A'r Cymry mor ddiolchgar iddyn am fynd a'u dŵr,
Er bod pentre Llanfihangel
Heb ddim dŵr.
O'r diwedd gwnaed cynllunie i dynnu dŵrr,
'Röl stydio nifer o systeme i dynnu dŵr,
Gwnaed piben fawr fel twnel
O'r Brithdir i Lanfihangei
Ond mae'r tanc a'r llan 'run lefel, a 'does dim dŵr
Er gwario deugain mil o bunne
Does dim dŵr

LLANFIHANGEL
The village of Llanfihangel has no water,
The farm, the shop and the school have no water,
If the village children fall
In the mud at play-time
They must wait till going home for water
To wash the mud off their knees,
There is no water.
The people of great Liverpool city must have water,
If they went without, there would be trouble, without water,
Llanwddyn must be drowned
Ten farms and eighteen cottages,
And the Welsh so grateful to them for taking their water,
Though Llanfihangel is
Without water.
At last, plans were made to draw water,
After studying many systems for drawing water,
A great pipe like a tunnel was laid
From Brithdir to Llanfihangel
But tank and village are on the same level, and there's no water,
Despite spending forty thousand pounds
There's no water.

Haleliwia
Mewn dwrn o ddur mae'r seren wen
Mae cysgod gwn tros Bethlehem
Dim angel gwyn yn canu Haleliwia.
Codi muriau, cau y pyrth
Troi eu cefn ar werth y wyrth
Mor ddu yw'r nos ar strydoedd Palesteina.
Haleliwia, Haleliwia, Haleliwia, Haleliwia.
Mae weiran bigog gylch y crud
A chraith lle bu creawdwr byd
Mae gobaith yno'n wylo ar ei glinia'
A ninnau'n euog bob yr un
Yn dal ei gôt i wylio'r dyn
Yn chwalu pob un hoel o Haleliwia.
Haleliwia, Haleliwia, Haleliwia, Haleliwia.
Mae'r nos yn ddu mae'r nos yn hir
Ond mae na rai sy'n gweld y gwir
Yn gwybod fod y neges mwy na geiria'
Mai o'r tywyllwch ddaw y wawr
A miwsig ddaeth â'r muriau lawr
Daw awr i ninnau ganu Haleliwia.
Haleliwia, Haleliwia, Haleliwia, Haleliwia.
[Welsh lyrics: © Tony Llewelyn]
The White Star in a fist of steel,
There's a shadow of a gun over Bethlehem,
No white angel singing "Hallelujah".
Raising the walls, closing the doors,
Turning their backs on the value of the miracle,
The night's so dark on the streets of Palestine.
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah.
There's a barb-wire circling the cradle,
And a scar where once was the World's creator,
Hope is weeping - on it's knees.
Guilty - each and every one of us,
Holding Mankind's coat -
While he destroys every trace of "Hallelujah".
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah.
The night is dark, The night is long,
Yet there are some that see the truth,
They know the message is more than words;
That from the darkness comes the dawn,
and the music brought the walls down.
There came the hour for us to sing, "Hallelujah."
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah.
